For this ATC Coin Swap I decided to maker a spinner card / rotating coin card. I used a Lavinia Stamps cutting file which I resized to 2.5″, the standard size for a coin swap. I used my Silhouette Portrait to cut the fairy out in black cardstock. I also cut out a circle with the same dimensions onto white cardstock.
I decorated the white circle with Distress Inks and Distress Oxides, SprinkleIt and water spray. I then heat dried the background. I stamped the small Lavinia stamps stars on the edge. Again, I used Distress Oxide to stamp the stars and then used silver WOW embossing powder to emboss the stars.
Once the background had been completed, I cut a 2.5″ circle with some scrap packaging from some cutting dies which I have. Acetate could also be used. I used a brad to attach this to the center of the background. I then adhered the Lavinia Stamps fairy to the plastic, making sure that the die cut covered the brad. The background can then be rotated making it seem as if the fairy is catching stars.
