The first thing I did was make the pop up. This technique uses a floating plane. I will do a separate tutorial for this later. When the card opens, the butterfly spreads it’s wings over the center fold.

Once the pop-up had been made, I filled the gaps with two of the Stamperia Wonderland cut-outs. One had a sentiment on it, “Imagination is everything. It is the preview of life’s coming attractions”. The other had a butterfly and some background script. I put one in the top left and the other the bottom right. I find this gives balance. I then made two more butterflies with some left over paper and buffed them with gold paste. For the finishing touches, I surrounded the sentiments with a string of pearls and used some larger ones for the center of the butterflies.
