I love making Fairy ATCs so I’m going to start this blog with a few which I have already made. I made them with Distress Oxides and Lavinia Stamps polymer stamps. Each one has been embellished with “jewels”. I called this one “Catching Dew Drops”.
The next card was also an entry for a Lavinia Stamps competition. For this one I used her Fairy House stamp for the front. I wanted to be able to colour the house yet use the Distress Oxides for the background so I stamped the house onto tissue paper. This was a first attempt and I tore a little of the house after gluing it with Mod Podge, but it didn’t look too bad so I left it. I used the Fairy Foragers stamps for the pop-up.
The following fairies were for an ATC Coin swap. I normally love making pop-ups, but I didn’t think coins were quite right for that. However, I’m still thinking of a way to do that for next time. In the meantime, I decided to turn them into shaker cards.
One of the groups I am in, do a Mingle swap. These ones are both 6″ x 4″. “To bee a Fairy” was a mingle which had to have the colour brown, a bee, book page, embossing, a brad and gesso.
The requirements for “Pretty in Pink” needed torn paper, material, the colour pink, string, stencil and an arrow (I added the arrow to the hand later as I nearly forgot that one). I decided that pink would suit a fairy so I used a digi stamp by AuroraWings for the face and a Character Constructions stamp for the body. The skirt, I made myself using torn mulberry paper and silver lace.
Well, this is the end of my first post, but please visit again. Next time I make an ATC I am going to try doing a tutorial on my pop-up cards.
