Fairy Altered Tin – Every Fairy Needs A New Wardrobe. It’s a New Year and there are some “NEW” challenges and some others which I couldn’t resist so I made this fairy altered tin entitled Every Fairy Needs A New Wardrobe. I have listed the challenges below. All fairies like to use found items so as well as being a new wardrobe, it is also something new out of something old. In this case most of the items are new but I’ve had them hanging around for a bit.
Moving along with the times, Creations in Pink, Love to Scrap, Love to Craft Challenge, A Bit More Time to Craft, Crafty Hazlenut’s Patterned Paper
This is what the fairy tin looks like when opened and standing up
This is the front of the tin. I decorated it with Stamperia Wonderland paper and printed out some fairy words which I typed myself in Photoshop. It reads “Every fairy needs a new wardrobe”
This is the inside left of the tin. Again I used Stamperia paper but this time I added some faux lichen which is used for model railways. I then fussy cut a fairy image from Graphics 45 paper from the Fairy Dust collection
For the inside right of the tin I decorated the base with more Stamperia Wonderland paper. I decorated it with more of the faux lichen and added some small mulberry roses. I made the dress using my Big Shot and a dress die.
I decorated the die with some sparkly fabric and made the dragonfly wings with another die.
The dress hangs from the stem of one of the mulberry roses but is also attached to the moss with glue
To finish I used some gold cobweb trim which I think is jute. It’s very fairy like. I also used some so that the tin can be secured shut.
I hope everyone had a Happy New Year and let’s hope 2021 is better than 2020
