Christmas Matchbox Mini Journal – The Nutcracker Sweet. This is my latest mini journal based on Graphics 45 Nutcracker Sweet scrapbook paper. I have used handmade mulberry paper, music sheets, brown envelope, snowflake tulle and metallic trim to make it. It is listed for sale in my Etsy Shop.
For the box I used a craft matchbox and covered it with paper from Graphics 45 Nutcracker Sweet. This features Clara and is surrounded by metallic bling. The rest of the paper is handmade mulberry paper and is really beautiful
The drawer is also decorated in some of the paper from The Nutcracker Sweet. A Tim Holtz brad is used for the “handle”.
The matchbox opens to reveal a mini journal covered with the most beautiful turquoise, purple and gold mulberry paper. It also has a gold ribbon spine as well as text elements from The Nutcracker Sweet.

It was virtually impossible to take photographs of the inside but hopefully this will give you an idea. I used three signatures, each with four pages making 16 sides and 64 sides in total, plus some snowflake tulle to add extra interest. There are also some elements from the Nutcracker Sweet.

I hope you like this little mini journal. It’s tiny but that is part of its charm. I think it would make an excellent stocking filler.
